Stourbridge Line reviving

According to Railpace Newsmagazine, the tourist railroad Stourbridge Line, closed for three years, will be revived on May 9 as the Delaware, Lackawaxen & Stourbridge. It has a new operator, the Myles Group, which formerly ran the Tioga Central. The previous operator, the Wayne County Chamber of Commerce, is not involved, nor is the Honesdale-Lackawaxen Shippers Association, which was previously responsible for any freight business.

There has been a tourist railroad resurgence in eastern Pennsylvania. Steam Into History started in 2014, along with the Colebrookdale Railroad. 2015 sees the rebirth of the Stewartstown Railroad and the new Allentown & Auburn on the 4-mile line from Topton to Kutztown.
